Please read these terms carefully before using our platform.
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using e-dokan ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including store owners (merchants), their customers, and visitors.
e-dokan reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Account Registration
To use e-dokan as a merchant, you must register for an account by providing accurate and complete information. You agree to:
- Maintain one store per account unless explicitly authorized otherwise by our team
- Provide accurate, current, and truthful information during registration, including your business name, email address, and phone number
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with unauthorized parties
- Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information, or that violate these Terms.
3. Service Description
e-dokan is a multi-tenant e-commerce SaaS platform that enables merchants to create and manage their own online stores. Each merchant receives a dedicated subdomain (e.g., yourstore.e-dokan.app) with the option to connect a custom domain.
The Platform provides the following core features:
- Product catalog management with images, variants, and categories
- Order processing and management dashboard
- Customer management and order tracking
- Courier integration for shipment booking and delivery tracking
- Landing page builder for product promotions
- Analytics and reporting on sales and store performance
Feature availability may vary depending on your subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time with reasonable notice to affected users.
4. Billing & Payments
e-dokan offers multiple subscription plans, including a free tier with limited features. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- Subscription Plans: Each plan has defined limits on products, orders, storage, and features. Exceeding your plan limits may require an upgrade.
- Billing Cycle: Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made through our supported payment gateways. You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date.
- Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, if you experience a service issue due to our fault, you may request a pro-rated refund by contacting our support team within 7 days.
- Plan Changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use e-dokan only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:
- Sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited products through your store, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, stolen goods, or items that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Use the Platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in phishing or fraudulent activities
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other merchants' stores, customer data, or platform infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt the Platform's operation
- Misrepresent your identity, business, or the products you sell
- Engage in any activity that places an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The e-dokan platform, including its design, code, features, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of e-dokan and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Platform without our prior written consent.
You retain full ownership of any content you upload to the Platform, including product images, descriptions, and branding materials. By uploading content, you grant e-dokan a limited license to host and display that content as necessary to operate your store.
7. Data Ownership
Merchants own their data. All store data, including products, orders, customer information, and business records, belongs to the merchant who created it. e-dokan acts as a data processor, not a data owner.
You have the right to:
- Export your store data at any time in a portable format
- Request deletion of all your data upon account termination
- Access and manage your data through the admin dashboard and API
We will not sell, share, or use your business data for any purpose other than providing the Platform services, unless required by law or with your explicit consent.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
- By You: You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your admin dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- By e-dokan: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, fail to pay subscription fees, or for any reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform and its users.
Upon termination, your store will be deactivated and your data will be retained for 30 days. After the retention period, all data will be permanently deleted unless you request an export before that time.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, e-dokan and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities resulting from service interruptions, downtime, or technical issues
- Any disputes between merchants and their customers, including product quality, delivery issues, or refund claims
- Actions of third-party services integrated with the Platform, including payment gateways and courier providers
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to e-dokan in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify affected users via email for material changes that impact their use of the Platform
- Provide a reasonable notice period before significant changes take effect
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Platform and close your account.
